Course Overview:
This course gives you a very good understanding of First Aid. The course is designed to provide cover for the workplace where employers have carried out their risk assessment and decided in line with the “First Aid Regulations of 1981” that this level of training will meet their legal obligations.
Course Outline:
Learners will cover the following during the course:
: Legal requirements and responsibilities of the First Aider
: Safety at the scene of accidents
: Resuscitation - Adult
: Unconscious casualty management
: Recovery position
: Shock
: Control of bleeding
: Burns
: Choking
: Recognition of common major and minor illnesses/conditions and appropriate actions to take. These will be bespoke to your organisation

1 Day
Course Assessment:
This course is subject to an ongoing assessment throughout the day by the tutor. There is no final assessment. The tutor ensures a thorough understanding has been achieved by questions, answers, discussion and practical scenarios.
Course Certification:
Successful delegates receive a certificate that is accredited by the Health and Safety Executive and is valid for a period of three years.

Delegates receive a quality first aid manual. Sensible dress is advised as practical floor-based activities are required
